Three words. That's all it took to pull me out of the deepest, darkest season of my life. Not a 10-step program. Not a vision board. Not even therapy — though therapy helped. Three words, chosen intentionally every morning before my subconscious could hijack my day. This practice is the foundation of The SEED System, and it's transformed thousands of women. But when I first discovered it, I thought it was too simple to work. I was wrong.
The Science of Identity-Level Language
Your subconscious mind wakes up before you do. And the moment you open your eyes, it starts running the default program — the narrative you've been telling yourself for years. 'I'm overwhelmed. I'm behind. I'm not enough.' By the time you're conscious enough to question it, the stress loop is already activated. But here's what neuroscience teaches us: you can intercept that program. If you choose your identity before your subconscious chooses it for you, you set the frequency for your entire nervous system. You're not affirming what you wish were true. You're declaring what is true — and giving your brain permission to find evidence of it.
My Three Words: Anchored. Sovereign. Light.
I'll never forget the morning I chose them. I was in survival mode — running on fumes, disconnected from my body, making decisions from fear instead of faith. I woke up, and instead of reaching for my phone, I placed my hand on my heart and asked, 'Who am I today?' The first word that came was 'anchored.' Not anxious. Anchored. The second was 'sovereign.' Not powerless. Sovereign. The third was 'light.' Not heavy. Light. I said them out loud. I felt them in my body. And something shifted. Not overnight. But over time, those words became my truth. My nervous system started responding to them. My decisions started aligning with them. I became them.
How to Choose Your Three Words
This isn't about picking words that sound nice. This is about choosing words that call you forward. Words that remind you who you are beneath the conditioning. Ask yourself: Who would I be if I weren't afraid? If I weren't performing? If I weren't trying to earn my worth? Your three words should feel like coming home. They should feel like exhaling. They should feel like truth. And here's the key: you don't choose them once and they're set forever. You choose them every morning. Some days, your words will be 'calm, clear, grounded.' Other days, they'll be 'fierce, bold, free.' Let them evolve. Let them speak to the season you're in.
Why It Works
Because language shapes reality. The words you use to describe yourself don't just reflect who you are — they create who you're becoming. When you consistently choose empowering, identity-level language, you're literally rewiring your brain. You're creating new neural pathways. You're training your reticular activating system to filter for evidence that supports your chosen identity. This isn't toxic positivity. This is neuroplasticity in action. You're not denying your pain. You're refusing to let your pain define you.
Three words. Choose them every morning. Say them out loud. Feel them in your body. Let them anchor you when the day tries to pull you off center. You're not who the world says you are. You're not who your past says you are. You're who you choose to be, one morning at a time.
